J.J. (Joe) Lund, Treasurer
Joe is the Treasure for Perley Health's Board of Directors. He is a native of Prince Edward Island and is an education administrator with expertise in the areas of institutional development, research management, financial performance management, and strategic planning. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, and a former Canadian Army officer with previous military service in the Middle East, Balkan States and in the Caribbean.
Joe is a graduate of the Royal Military College and the University of Waterloo and holds degrees in both engineering and in mathematics. After 20 years of military service, Joe joined the faculty of DeVry University in 1996 and held several senior administrative appointments within the DeVry University system. He later served as Associate Vice President for Accreditation, Technology and Corporate Development for the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) in Jamaica.
In 2005, Joe was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal in recognition of his contributions to post- secondary education in that province. In 2012, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contributions in the community. He is a nationally-certified Biathlon Canada competition official and a former President of Biathlon Prince Edward Island. Retired, Joe now resides in the Ottawa area together with his wife, Monique.
