Patrick Ceresia, Board Member

Pat Ceresia retired as a Colonel of the RCAF and Canadian Forces Medical Service after a 27 Year career. His military service saw him participate in UN, European and Gulf War 1 duties. He served as Base Surgeon and Hospital Commander at several locations and retired as Chief of Staff of the Canadian Forces Medical Group in 1998. During his career, Colonel Ceresia completed military pilot training receiving his wings in 1981 at Moose Jaw and later the fighter transition course on the CF-5 at Cold Lake. He was instrumental in the early trial embedding of CFMS specialists in civilian hospitals which eventually led to the formalization of this process on a much wider scale for the CF.

Following his CF retirement, Dr. Ceresia spent 18 years as an executive with the Canadian Medical Protective Association providing advice, guidance and legal assistance when required to Canadian physicians in pursuit of safe medical care.

Dr. Ceresia joined the Perley Health Board in 2020 as an Adjunct Advisor serving on two committees and as a Director in 2022 serving on 3 committees. He and his wife Rosann live a few hundred yards from Perley Health and consider themselves both neighbours and part of the Perley Community.
