Earth Day 2024

This Earth Day, we're celebrating our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability! Perley Health has a history of eco-friendly initiatives.

Here are some of our highlights since 2010:

Energy:

  • Installation of 1,235 solar panels (enough to power 27 homes!) 
  • High-efficiency commercial dishwashers installed across all kitchens
  • Upgraded to Energy Star appliances
  • Ongoing LED lighting installation throughout facilities
  • New high-efficiency washing machines with innovative ozone technology

Water:

  • Domestic hot water heating upgrade
  • Water-saving measures like low-flow toilets and faucets

Waste:

  • Composting program in all kitchens to divert food waste.

Food:

  • Incorporating plant-based options into our menus.
