Manager, Employee & Labour Relations

Full-time

37.5 hours per week

The Manager, Employee and Labour Relations has the following key responsibilities:

  • Implementing organizational strategies related to the following HRM areas of expertise: Employee Relations, Labour Relations, Collective Bargaining, Grievance Management, Human Rights, Pay Equity, Job Evaluation, Compensation, Attendance Management, Performance Management, and statutory compliance
  • Skilled in conflict management, the successful candidate will demonstrate success in building and maintaining positive workplace relationships and constructive union-management relations.
  • Providing advice and counsel to Perley Health’s managers, you will participate in strategic and operational discussions and decisions on human resources issues, priorities, systems, and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or other relevant specialization;
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Employee and Labour Relations in a unionized workplace, (preferably in the Health Care sector);
  • Extensive knowledge of the Human Resources areas of expertise listed above;
  • Significant experience in conflict management and dispute resolution;
  • CHRP is beneficial, but not required;
